Michigan Drug Discovery Staff

Director of Michigan Drug Discovery at the University of Michigan, Peter Toogood is an accomplished drug hunter with more than 30 years of experience across academia and industry. He has led the discovery of innovative therapeutics in oncology, immunology, and infectious disease and advanced multiple compounds into human clinical trials. Dr. Toogood previously served as a Research Fellow at Pfizer and Senior Vice President at Lycera Corp. He is an inventor on more than 40 patent applications, has authored more than 55 publications, and is a recipient of the American Chemical Society’s “Heroes in Chemistry” and “Team Innovation” Awards.
